Finally! SEO Lincolnshire experiment pays off
Wow – 12 months have passed since my last update on how I was doing with my keyword “SEO Lincolnshire” experiment – and since that last post (when I was 3rd for the phrase), I had moved up to 2nd in Google for most of 2011.
Finally I have managed to claim that top spot which for the last 2 years has been held by a different SEO company in Lincolnshire – and just in case I drop down at some point in the future I thought I would show (and take a screen shot) of reaching my eventual goal which was to be the top naturally listed position in Google for the phrase “SEO Lincolnshire“.
So what have I been doing differently?
The main difference is that I have been cranking up the number of blog posts I have been writing (still not as consistent as I would have liked) – but at least there have been several posted in the last month. I also think some of the link building I did (which feels like a lifetime ago) has also had “some” impact.
There is also the chance that instead of my site improving, that the previous top spot website has actually moved down the rankings – especially with all the Google Panda updates over the last 12 months.
Anyway – for now I’m happy 🙂
PS Just in case you think I was logged in when I did this search (which can massively change what you are given by Google in the search results), you will hopefully see in the top right hand corner of the screenshot the “sign in” box that means I wasn’t! 😉
